LPV Technologies Secures TÜV SÜD Certification, Elevates Nigeria’s Solar Manufacturing to Global Standards

LPV Technologies, Nigeria’s leading indigenous solar manufacturing company, has achieved a major industry milestone with the TÜV SÜD certification of its premium-grade solar panels a first of its kind in the country.

The certification, announced on Monday, signifies compliance with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards and marks a turning point for Nigeria’s renewable energy sector, positioning LPV Technologies among the world’s most credible solar manufacturers.

General Manager Engr. Omobola Omofaiye described the achievement as proof of the company’s dedication to excellence and innovation.

“We have built a product that reflects global excellence while being deeply rooted in Nigeria’s energy realities,” Omofaiye said.

LPV Technologies’ production line integrates advanced global manufacturing systems for precision, durability, and scalability. The company’s solar panels feature high-efficiency monocrystalline cells, designed and tested to perform under Nigeria’s diverse environmental conditions from coastal humidity to inland heatwaves.

This approach, the company said, ensures consistent performance, higher energy yield, and lower degradation rates, even in low-light environments.

“Our TÜV-certified panels redefine what ‘Made in Nigeria’ stands for a symbol of global quality built on local expertise,” the statement added.

The certification not only enhances local trust in Nigerian-made solar solutions but also opens up export opportunities, strengthening the country’s position in the global renewable energy market.

LPV Technologies said its success is the result of years of investment in research, development, and process optimisation, combining European precision with Nigerian resilience to create a truly world-class product.

Industry experts say the development could accelerate confidence in Nigeria’s clean energy transition, as locally manufactured solar technologies gain international credibility and commercial competitiveness.
